Surfer Profile: Sky
Sky is a young mini-rex rabbit that boasts about having the softest fur of any hopper around. He started surfing shortly after coming home in March '06, and has shown very few signs of slowing down. Sky still rides his original purple igloo, and has chewed up the entrance to just the way he wants it.
He prefers romaine lettuce over all other greens, and strengthens his teeth and his focus by working on his Nut Knot Nibbler chew toys. On certain occasions, Sky can be heard training in the middle of the night, by moving his igloo in the middle of his cage and doing sprints back and forth, up and over of it.
Sky's a jumper, and has been called a "jumping bean" by his vet and trainers. He pretends to be shy, waits for the right moment, and then ... poof, he's gone.
Surfer Profile: Star
Star's the younger of the two, but only by about six months. She's usually a very friendly and curious rabbit, but at times has been called a BWA (bunny with attitude). She came home when she was just six weeks old, so her first igloo was smaller than her current regulation surfer igloo.
The late start didn't slow her down, though. She soon perfected the "slipper" surfing technique which has become her trademark move in the sport. We mentioned Star's friendly, and she'll eat greens right out of your hand (if she likes you). When it comes to greens, Star's favorite type is anything that's in reach. Her veggie basket never stays full for very long.
